Gretchen now has 3 teeth--another bottom tooth poked its way out over the weekend. I think the opposing bottom tooth will be appearing forthwith. We're a bit surprised that her top teeth have decided to remain incognito. Eventually, they will show themselves

We've been talking about having a date night for about a month now. Since most of the time we just hang out at our friends' place or at home, it's not a big deal, but it's going to be SO AWESOME to have dinner at a sit down place for a change. I don't think we've done that since September or so... and we won't be doing that again until Gretchen can handle eating people food on her own... so another few months, I bet.

I'm actually surprised at how quickly she's figured it out! She's definitely our kid--she sure does like to eat! :) It's just amazing watching all the stuff that she does and seeing her personality develop. Right now, she's a total goofball--she's started figuring out her consonants so we get a lot of "ba-ba-ba!"s and some "da!"s. She really has a great time making sound effects--Chris plays "rocketship" with her, making a blast-off sound and jiggling her before he lifts her off his lap (it's so cute!), and she's started making the blast-off sound that he does. At first we thought she was hissing, but then we realized what she was doing!

I'm excited to see the movie. Chris was telling me a bit about the graphic novel last night. I'm wishing that I'd read it when he'd borrowed it from our friend--I'll get to it eventually. :)
