Teeth!
We noticed something amazing on Saturday--Gretchen's first teeth are starting to come in! She'd been a bit more irritable than normal through most of the holiday, chewing on things even more often than usual. She started gnawing on my finger and I noticed one of her front bottom teeth was starting to poke through her gums! On Sunday, the second one started to push its way up. Exciting! It's a little bit ahead of schedule, but not by too much. :)
We're probably going to be starting her on baby cereal later this week. That will be interesting--we'll try to get a movie or two and a bunch of pictures to document the process!
I finished the winter hat I made for Gretchen--I need to get some pictures to post the cuteness! Chris made the comment that she looks like a little mongolian when the ear flaps are down!
Chris got me a really awesome Christmas present--a star sapphire ring! It's got a great setting--sculpted 14k white gold and is just so pretty! I'll post a picture sometime soon. :)
Overall, Christmas was really good this year. We stayed in and had a really nice family time. Gretchen is so much more fun to spend time with now since she's actually interested in playing and learning and doesn't just need to eat and have her diaper changed (though those are still top priorities :P).
