I always have loved the way we decorate our tree. You cant see, but upclose, we have mostly ornaments from the 30s-50s, complete with bubblers, glass icicles, and the giant christmas lights. None of that sissy little blinky shit!
Today I felt incredibly lucky. I do every Christmas. I got new tires for my car!! How awesome is that??? My grandmother got me so much neat stuff, including FIESTAWARE, to feed my strange addiction to 1940s kitchenware. My presents went over well, so I'm very glad. The best part was being with my family. My cousins are simply adorable and better than television. My aunts were drunk and trying to sneak wine into my rootbeer. My uncle,cousins and I talked about the original peewee's playhouse and the ghost we SWEAR lives in the guest room at my grandparents house. My family is hysterical.
I'm very lucky that I have a huge, caring family, a roof over my head, and that I live a very happy, comfortable life. It almost seems too good to be true.
