Cozumel: (well it was more like Playa del Carmen). We swam with dohins. We got on this big ferry/boat thing. It was a 10-15 ride to the shore. Then we had to find our little excursion group. Then I had to get on this big charter bus thing and take a 20-30 minute bus ride to the Dolphin Discovery place. We got out and learned about dolphins. Then we had to wait 10 minutes for life jackets because they ran out. Then we got to go and swim with the dolphins. His name was Marte. I hugged and kissed it too. I got a video and it looks so cute. We had fun cause it was very warm. they had many different animals at that place, they had manatees, seals, dolphins, monkeys, and lots of colorful birds. then we only had a little bit of time to shop. Then we ate at some little outside resturant next to the pier. Then we had to leave for the bus ride back to the shore. When we got there, there was a long wait for the next boat back, so I played and took pics on the beach. Well I saw this walk way that goes way out into the water. Well I went a little to far, because the life guard yelled at me. Well I couldn't understand him because he was talking in Spanish. Let's see, what else was there, oh yeah, Mexico had a really nice McDonald's it's better than any of them i've seen here in America.
Belize: We went cave tubing. We got of the noisy tender/boat and walked to the little place where were supposed to meet to go cave tubing. then we loaded into those 12 passanger vans and toured the city. Wow, its different, we went by the prime minister's house, and it's small. It's smaller than ours. Anyway our tourguide was really nice and funny. His name is JR. Anyways, after we got out of the city, we took a 37 mile drive to the place and then 6 miles down this dirt/ rocky road. Then we got to the National Park place. Then we had to get intertube, light helmet things, and a lifejacket. Then we set out for this hike. We got to this river, and we had to pull ourselves across the rapids with a rope. We learned alot about man of the trees in the jungle. Finally after a 45 min. hike, we jumped off this 10 ft. cliff into the river. Then we got in our intertubes and floated down the caves. Water was about 70-75 degrees. It was kinda eerie at first, but overall it was fun. Well I got stuck going through these rapids by myself, and you no, i had a little light and your in a dark cave, so you couldn't see good. i kept hitting into rocks. Then when we were done, we got out and took a 5 min hike back to the place, we put all of the stuf up and ate this really good food. Then we headed back. What was really scary was that we almost got hit cause we tried passing that truck with a house behind it, and we almost hit a guy on the bike. Overall I loved it. It was such a beautful country.
Costa Maya: Private beach all to myself. We got to Costa Maya (a.k.a Riveiera Maya). We went through downtown and people kept whistleing at me and calling me Senorita. they kept asking to go to the store and buy something. Well I saw these really cool earrings. They were huge amesthys earrings. The guy wanted 30 bucks, i got it all the way down to $10. But, I didn't get them. The guy hates me now. Ok, anyways, we got in a taxi and took a 25 minute drive to the Maya Palms Resort. Then we ran onto the beach, and we were the only ones there. That's what made it so cool and fun. It was so private. Ok then I found this huge coconut that was bigger than my head. I could never crack it open. Then I went kayaking in the ocean w/ my brother and sister. It was only a 2 person kayak, but we all fit. Then we were out there for a long time and snorkled. We found this pretty colorful reef. Then Hayley and Greg were getting in, and I leaned a little so that we wouldn't tip, and I guess I leaned the wrong way and we tipped. I flipped the boat over as quick as I could and I was the first one back in. We retreived all the gear. I got back, played with some cute dogs, and ate this really good buffet. Then I swam a little more. Then I went onto the top of the building by these stairs. the back/ the way up looks just like the Mayan Ruins. Its cool. then, the taxi came and we left. Then I shopped and walked back to the boat.
I had such a good time.
Pics will come later. Most of them will come later cause they are on the water camera.
Love ya lots,
Kelly
