Campus is looking really pretty with all of the falling leaves and reds, oranges, and browns all over the place. I guess fall is officially here. Yesterday a freakin’ hurricane was blowing through campus, and my whimpy butt only went to one class. Leaves and dirt and rain and everything that wasn’t bolted to the ground was flying up and smacking me right in the face (specifically the eye! Ow!).O well! I am doing really good grade wise so I guess I can afford to skip a class or two here and there. In Phonetics, I got a 95 on the test we took on Monday, so I skipped that class this morning at 9:00 (we were just going over the test anyways, and since I got 95% of it correct, what’s the point in going?) and slept in until noon. Mmmm sleep. I got an 85 on the Anatomy quiz we took on Thursday, a 90 on my Education quiz, a 93 on my Western Cultures quiz, and I already know I am going to get 100’s on my Anatomy labs, since Emma and I found a way to cheat the system. I’m pissed it took us so long to figure out to run through the labs once, un-graded, then write down the answers so we would have them when we took it graded. DUH! So the point is I am doing really well in all of my classes, and I’m really proud of myself and pleased that all the long hours I spend in the library and actually proving valuable.
I finally got the paper work for my car in the mail yesterday, so now I can go to a repair shop and get Stella fixed. The estimate was for $2,064.54 worth of repairs. Dang! Stella is going to be better than when I bought her! At least everything is going to get fixed. As soon as that is done I can make my way up to Buffalo and Rochester for some lovin’. I’m also pretty pissed that I’m only going to get a check for $150 for “loss of income” since I couldn’t work after the accident. I’m only mad because I KNOW I would have made a lot more money had I actually worked at Perkins over fall break. But at least I am getting something.
I’m really liking being in Fredonia. I remember last semester and looking forward to every weekend so I could go home. Well, I actually look forward to weekends AT Fredonia now, because I love hanging out with Sarah, Josh, Jon, and Sobo, and shockingly enough, I get SO much more work done at school, and that makes me so happy. Mostly we just sit around making fun of each other and watch movies, with many games of poker thrown in here and there, but I love it. I love it so much. I am definitely in a different place than I was last semester, and it is a happier place.
Life is so freaking good.
Minus the fact that I fall so hard for boys that I can’t have. Dammit!
