Welcome to Lake Fredonia

For some reason this weather reminds me a lot of our cottage. I remember that every week we are there, there is always one day where it just rains, rains, rains. Because we go up in the summer, the temperature is warm, much like today. I like it. I like swimming in the rain and walking from the cabin to the big house to the lodge. It’s so nice. You don’t care if you get wet, because there is a comfy chair with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa waiting for you when you come inside. O yea, and a smiling family member holding that cup of hot cocoa. =) I can’t wait for the summer. All I’ll have to worry about is work, and I really like my job. My family will be close, and I will have entire days where I can do whatever I want: go to the beach, Darien Lake, Seabreeze, shop with Alex, go swimming, grab Friendly’s with Shelby. I get a week up at the Lake. O the bliss.

This weekend was great. I really needed it. I worked Saturday and Sunday, which means there will be a nice paycheck waiting for me on Friday. Hopefully between this past weekend and the one coming up I’ll have a little over $150 to spend for Spring Break. Sweet. I plan on spending every cent.
I talked with my parents about getting a car, and they didn’t shoot me down. My Dad flat out told me it was a good possibility, but he didn’t want to make any promises he didn’t know he could keep. I’m hoping this works out. A car would make a serious difference. A very, very GOOD difference. And I’m pretty sure I can afford it with only a little help from my parents.
Saturday night there was a huge dinner at our house. My brother’s girlfriend was coming over to meet the family, and my parents decided that my sister and I could invite a guest too. So, Shelby came over and so did Kelsey’s friend Brianne. I liked that Erin wouldn’t feel too uncomfortable, since other guests were over. Erin seems really nice, and she fit in, even though she forced herself to eat the biggest helping of mashed potatoes, despite the fact that she hates mashed potatoes. Funny story. I liked her. Good food. Good table conversation. Good dessert. Good night, overall.

I brought my roll-around suitcase back to Fredonia with me yesterday. This weekend I need to remember to buy clothes, get my camera, load up on cash, get my passport, and anything else I may need for Long Island. I’m getting pumped. Kerri and I were talking about what we’re doing, and I can’t wait. Plus, I’m pretty sure school work is going to work out in my favor, and they only things I’ll have to do over break will be to read a chapter of Sociology and a U.S. History novel. Yessssssssss.

My poor cactus looks really pathetic.
