*MAY POSSIBLY* have a new car by the end of next week...

but on an even greater note--

my credit score is 767the bank employee was quite impressed! and to have someone who sees his fair share of credit scores daily make that kind of comment is an ego booster ( Read more... )

up to $81? Mine went DOWN to $200 a month on my 21st. Never been in an accident and only one ticket that I didn't get any points for and didn't increase my insurance a cent. It sucks being a dude

yeah, insurance companies claim they DON'T discriminate between genders.... umm... i'm suuurrrreeee of it.

besides, you were/are driving a mustang... boy + muscle car = ridiculous rates

well, they pulled my driving history and found something that they hadn't caught on to before and it did up my rate to a $102 a month... damn speeding tickets!

well I'd like to argue that it's a V6 automatic, not exactly the most musclely of muscle cars lol

hahaha! true! i still love you anyways though!

i went from my old ass four-banger '97 Saturn (yes, the same one i had in high school) to an '08 Pontiac G6 GT with a 3.5L V6 engine and despite the fact that it is an automatic, it does have the sportshift so i can manually change gears without a clutch. i was honestly thinking my insurance was going to skyrocket, but luckily it didn't.

you should totally go buy yourself an '09 Camaro SS with manual transmission! that is a very sweet, super musclely muscle car!

Experian says mine is 624 but then TransUnion and Equifax say mine is 694. Makes no sense really. Then again, I have 4 credit cards, 6 years worth of educational loans, and a car loan all in my name, lol.

I joined my mom's credit union for a car loan. My interest rate on a loan would be 5.25% and if I get full or partial deposit of my paycheck into my savings account there, it's cut down to 5%. That's pretty fucking good.

And oh boo hoo @ your car insurance. Up until I was 21, mine was $363 a month. Since 2007 it's been $120 a month. Still A LOT for car insurance. Oh wait, I live in NJ.

i think the different credit institutes do that and then they look at the mean scores. but yeah, that doesn't make too much sense as to why they're different. at least its not like 520 vs 694!

i refused to get any kind of student loan because i know how much of a beast they are to pay back! what kind of rate and how long is your student loan, if you don't mind me asking? my little sister is looking at getting one BUT HAS NO CREDIT HISTORY WHATSOEVER! her's is upwards of $30k... so that'll be interesting.

the credit union my dad is part of gets a discount with GEICO so i'm setting up an account there to try and lower my insurance a lil bit more. i don't know what kind of rates we have here in FL with car vs other states... Allstate (or maybe it was StateFarm) actually DROPPED Florida as a state entirely for homeowner's insurance... damn hurricanes!

StateFarm dropped Home Insurance and is not taking any new car insurance plans from what I understand

I couldn't afford $3500 a year making $8 an hour with an apartment and a car loan... so I had to. I had Wachovia and Citibank. Wachovia consolidated my 2 loans with them into 1 with an APR of 5.4% I think. Citibank is still being difficult and isn't consolidating my loans. I have one at 6.8%, the max, and I think the other 2 are at 4.8%. I have $13,000 in loans and about $2,000 in interest. Then again, I've had loans out since 2003 and haven't began paying them until this year since I was never able to afford it. Thing is, the credit union will actually consolidate the loans for me and let me pay for them through the credit union as opposed to the banks. I'd just rather wait until after I got a new car to play with that. For right now, I just pay $150 a month to each bank to shut them up since sorry, I deserve a fucking gift to myself after all of my hard work.

Be careful with Geico. They make be cheaper, but they have less coverage. Make sure to read the fine print.

Hi Megz queenotheworld July 7 2009, 14:08:00 UTC
This is unrelated to credit scores altogether haha. I was just curious how you were doing and wanted to catch up. I don't think I have your cell phone number in my new phone, but if you want to send me an e-mail (ECrump05@gmail.com). I'm moving out of Florida at the end of the month but perhaps I can come through Jax and we can have lunch or something before I go.
