"It was an accident!" Not paying attention because she was reading a good book absolutely counted as an accident in Maggie's mind. "I promised I wouldn't!"
"Yeah. About that." She fidgeted and lowered her voice, wondering if maybe they should talk about this in the bathroom instead. "Um. John William hasn't shown up. But, um, Jolee has."
Maggie had pulled about six books off the shelf and was plopped down on the floor, ignoring anything going on around her.
For a moment, Sam felt an unavoidable spike of jealousy. Then he realized it was Luke, and as nervous as Dawn looked, all Sam could do was smile softly at her. "Tell me she has your hair, and not his?"
Oh. Okay. That was alright, then. "Kind of a cross. Curly hair, big blue eyes." Perhaps the tiniest bit whiny, not that she'd say that to Sam. "Pretty cute, actually."
"Well, that's got to be a given, considering who her mom is," Sam said. "Seriously, it's okay. To be honest, I think I'd rather think about you being with Luke than being with Dean."
