Well, the board I'm on is tied to Le Thrung in Canada, who is working on Project Aiko (a parody to the anime name Project A-Ko) I don't care for the skin used on Aiko ver 1.0, and think the Der series looks more realistic, but Aiko has a better AI. http://www.projectaiko.com/

There are several different people working on similar projects, including this dude in Germany, but I know little to nothing about his work. The two I know best is the Der, Der2 and Der3 built in Japan: http://www.kokoro-dreams.co.jp/english/robot/act/der2.html

NOTE: The Aiko Ver 1.0 in the above video was completely luck that Le had filmed her cosplaying as Chi for a local con. The voice in Japanese sounds better than the Canadian English voice which is going to be replaced in version 2.0

BTW: Spread the word about Aiko, Le isn't super rich and he has no corporate funding. Everything he has done has been with donations. He was inspired to make Aiko by Chobits and another mech anime.

Oh wow!!!!! I seriously had to have my face pressed to the screen because I was trying to determine if they were actually people!!! The DER version(in the vid above)seemed a little unrealistic to me.Something about her face strikes me odd.The other one,Aiko,is the one I had a hard time trying to determine.Her face seems more realistic to me.Does he have a site or anything????NVM.I saw it!!!

Chii only took a couple of hours.Just need to make hair spools for her now.Her outfit should be in next week.
