Turning 30 isn't all that bad...
So I turned 30 last Wednesday, and leading up to it, I was really upset about it. But now that it has come and gone, it doesn't even phase me! On my birthday J took me to this really nice restaurant in Woodstock called the Magnolia Thomas House...OMG - AWESOME!!! I had the duck and it was some of the best I had ever had. Then on Thursday, we laid low at the house - not really doing anything but watch the Thrashers game.
Friday rolls around and this is where the fun started!! Mom and I left work around 1pm to go to Macy's and shop. I swear she is the best. She had bought me a COACH bag in Fla about 3 weeks ago for my present, more than I expected to get right? So we're at Macy's b/c I need to get a nice outfit for that evening. She keeps picking up things, one after another, asking me how I like it and so on. I keep picking up the things on sale, cause I am broke. Anywho, I go to check out and here she comes with everything I put down! The woman is insane - in a good way! We actually almost got into a fight at the register. I felt bad she wanted to spend upwards of 600 on me after she had already bought my purse...so after 10 minutes of arguing I said "fine, you want to buy, I want to have it!" She told me that she was putting my monthly bonuses in the form of clothes, so who could argue? Then we run to her house and get dressed.
Later we went and meet my aunt (whose in town) and her friends downtown for dinner and then head over to the Fox to see the 'Wedding Singer' - Holy shit funny!!! Highly recommend it to everyone.
On Saturday, J and I lounged around the house some more. I made a kick ass breakfast and cleaned house. Then my family took us to the Old Mill in Acworth for dinner, again...OMG - AWESOME!!! We had a lot of fun there. But by this time, I am tired of people making a big deal out of me turning 30.
Sunday, my mom, aunt, me, and my aunts friends go downtown to Einsteins for brunch...yulp, thats about all I recall :) For some reason, whenever I go there for Sunday brunch I end up leaving there hours later, completely drunk!!!! But that wasn't good enough, so we head over to the Vortex for more drinks :) Then I went home to bed.....at 7pm!!!!
So all in all, it was a great weekend with the family!
