Did I mention that today is Monday?
If I had to rate today....I'd give it two thumbs down. Mistakes I'd made weeks ago came to my attention (and my boss!) today. One mistake he didn't catch, nor did the other attorney we sent the check too. Bad thing is that I had the check payable to the man's dead daughter. It was a wrongful death suit (her husband killed her, their daughter, then himself) and I can't imagine what they felt seeing a check made out to her. The dead daughter and the dad have the same odd first name, just different last names. I know, I know....people make mistakes. And I'm so rushed at work I don't always have time to be careful. But I'm still upset. I hate making mistakes. And attorney's can be some of the most unforgiving, spoiled, pompous asses you've ever met. Well, not my boss. Both of them are great. But some of the others I have to do work for. THEN, I got my period. Early. Did I have any Tampax at work? Nope. Went out for lunch with my co-worker cuz I had to get out and was craving a vegetarian taco from Cafe Ole. Got to Cafe Ole. Closed for the week. Went to a cafeteria nearby. They had lasagne with MEAT (ick), some anemia looking chicken and corn dogs! I ate a serving of lima beans and 3 soggy broccoli spears. Joy. Then I went to the vending machine at 3:00 cuz I was having my usual afternoon craving for Yodels. No Yodels. Today sucked.
