Zoe went on a field trip last week to the Natural History Museum. I asked each of the kids in my little party what they wanted to see. The little boy wanted to see the T-Rex (easy), the little girl wanted to see gold jewelry (found some African tribal jewelery that fit the bill), Zoe wanted to see the saphires (had to make our way to the very end of the gems & minerals section to find them, but they were impressive. Had to lift all the kids up so they could see the "star" in the star saphire). And halfway through the trip they all decided they needed to see the mummy, so we eventually found that as well.
Anyway, afterwards when I asked Zoe what she liked best at the museum, she said it was "the stacked heads with the gonzo nose" which is to say, the totem poles.
