I forgot how entirely refreshing and rejuvenating it can be to just have a night out to yourself. To not have work, school, fiances, cats, any responsibilities, and just enjoy a night out to yourself, to just be, to just have fun. I should do it more often. Don't get me wrong, I love all those things (well, not school, but the rest...) but every once in a while just getting away from it all can really make a difference. Tomorrow, if I get my paper done, my reward is a repeat experience, only with RENT. Or PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. I'd like to see both! I would like to see RENT because I never will be able to afford to see the actual thing... And since the movie includes some of the actual Broadway cast, at least it will be semi-similar, hopefully. But I heard PRIDE AND PREJUDICE is simply enchanting! Well, I need to finish my paper before I can even think about it, anyways!

Also, WALK THE LINE was REALLY GOOD!! I highly highly highly recommend it. I did NOT know that Joaquin and Reese were really singing! I thought they were lipping June and Johnny's real songs, wowzers. I don't really listen to that much Cash or Carter (though I will now!), my grandparents do a lot, so I couldn't really tell the difference. I love Reese. Also, some neat trivia:

Joaquin Phoenix performed all of the songs himself without being dubbed and learned to play guitar from scratch.

Johnny Cash chose Joaquin Phoenix to play him in the film. June Carter reportedly chose Reese Witherspoon for her role in the film also.

Reese Witherspoon did her own singing. She also had to learn to play the auto-harp.

Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix had vocal training for six months with music producer T Bone Burnett.

Also, TYLER HILTON played Elvis... WEIRD!

I also saw previews for a few movies I would like to see. I would like to see BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN and see if Heath and Jake can make the gay-thing actually seem loving or romantic, or if they will just seem like they are acting too hard and being silly. I also want to see MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA (is that the title?) It looks very interesting!!!

On the way home, I had a scary moment. These drunk guys started yelling at me from their car, waving their arms for me to roll down my window. Of course, I ignored them. Then they started tryign to follow me---I sped up, they sped up, I slowed down, they slowed down. Finally I slowed down really, REALLY slow and they sped off... If that hadn't worked, I was about to call 911!!! TOOO SCARY! The one bad thing about being a girl going out by yourself at midnight, that's for sure!
