Here is what I need at Target tomorrow:
- A scarf to wear on my hair so I don't get my hair in my fucking eyes every time I drive to/from work. I tend to drive a little on the fast side (like 75 mph on the Parkway...) and at that speed, it fucking HURTS when it stabs me in the eye.
- A mat for outside my bathroom that doesn't say "Steelers" on it.
Furthermore:
Both of these items shall be at least partially pink.
And on a completely unrelated note:
Tonight Mom and I went to see "The Skeleton Key" at the Southside Works. We drove all over the damn place before we found it because Mapquest is the devil.
And because neither of us were really familiar with the Southside in general, we didn't realize that the new area IS the Works. Which is right where the Hot Metal Bridge dumps you out. So it's really super easy to get to; we just didn't realize it. Luckily, I am very good at getting lost, asking for directions from an idiot, and then deciphering them into some kind of information that actually gets me where I need to go. So we left mucho early and then we got there right at the last second. We sat down and the previews started.
It's a REALLY nice theater, and cheaper than Loews. (They just added a surcharge for Friday and Saturday nights.) Parking blows, and because we were pressed for time we had to park in a garage. It only charged us $3, but it still sucked to have to pay. Could have been worse, like in downtown Baltimore. Never have I had as much trouble finding a parking space as I have in Baltimore.
So now that we know the area better (going on what I like to refer to as an adventure is really the only way to get to know an area) I think I'll be spending some more time down there. During the brief time I worked on the Southside, I always wanted to go out and have fun down there, but by the time my soul had been sufficiently sucked from my body and I was released for the day, I just wanted to go home and take a shower. I'm glad that I'll finally be able to enjoy it down there now.
