Miscommunication... oh so fun.
Alright, so it's been a really rough week for me: I've been freaking out about my vertebrate physiology exam all week long, and I pretty much studied for my physics exam for maybe 30 minutes... 40 tops. Both are tomorrow. Anyway, vertebrate has been kickin my ass and I haven't gotten much sleep. There are at least 140 slides with oodles of vocab/things I need memorized and I've run out of note cards twice. Not to mention i burst a blood vessel in my eye and i've lost about 4 lbs. I've rather been proud of the amount of studying i've gotten done. downside: i think i'm starting to become a little too sleep deprived. i have misheard so many people lately, it's not even funny.
case and point:
i walk into the apartment after about 12hours worth of class. it's 9:45 and I still have a bunch of vertebrate stuff to go through. I'm taking a review quiz online with my roommate and her brother talking to each other in the background when my other roommate comes in and says "nicole... matt's on the line..." and the first roommate and her brother then start talking to jenny (second roommie) and I'm still sort of taking my quiz, then my cell phone rings, it's matt, i sort of answer, and then I hear Jenny say, "yeah, he's really mad..." and "he's got a girlfriend..." so, me in my sleep deprived state, am trying desperately to figure out why matt is mad at me and who this girlfriend is, and where did i go wrong. i'm in a panic now and i say "WHAT??!?! YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND???!!!?!?!?!" and i'm in tears, ruth and her brother are still talking, i'm still freaked out about vertebrate, jenny is still saying something, and i hear matt laughing on the phone because he's overheard everything and hears me freaking out. jenny realizes i'm upset at what i heard, says again that she was talking to her brother on the phone when matt called, told matt to call my cell phone because she had to talk about her brother being mad at his girlfriend and working things out with them... (matt's still laughing at this point..) finally, things sink in, i realize what happened, i start laughing, but i'm still in hysterical tears... it was bad. but it was funny. and ruth and her brother also started laughing at me because i was covering my face so they couldn't see my cry... ::shakes head::
anyway, just thought i'd share my stupidity of the day. what a nice break. and now... back to vertebrate. ::cries::
