WHAT THE FUCK.
TRUE STORY:
My house was broken into today.
While I was in it.
My dad was out in Middletown and my G-Ma was at the mall and my bro was at his friend's house.
I was COMPLETELY alone.
I was out on my back porch -that's got nothing on it whatsoever 'cept some bird crap- for about 10 minutes and then I went back in the house and locked the door [/reflex]
I had promised my dad I would clean my room and it was this huge mess so I was working on it and I got a call from my friend Alyx.
I was listening to music really loud, so I turned it down to listen to him, and when the music was low enough I heard banging and footsteps coming from the attic.
So I think i'm just making a big deal out of the wind or whatever, but then there was a bang so loud that the house shivered.
WTF.
So I went outside cuz I needed to get out- thought I was going crazy. Was still talking to Alyx at this point.
After a few minutes, I went back inside cuz it was cold to find this through my window:
That ladder, on my back porch; the porch i'd been on only like an hour before and there hadn't been a damn thing on it.
I did not have my cell on me but I had the house phone and boy did I fucking run out of this house, you do not know speed until you saw this shit.
Halfway up the driveway, i'm like "omfg Alyx I was right there is someone in my house kbye." and he was like "yep, sure, whatever" but I was so freaked I didn't even care he didn't believe me and I ran to my neighbour's house.
I used her phone and called the cops.
4 Chester Police cars and 2 state troopers came to the house and from my neighbour's house, I heard them do their whole "FREEZE! POLICE!" thing, and i'm like OMFG HI COME HERE AND TALK TO ME A-HOLES.
The lady whose house I went to let me call my dad and it went like this:
"Dad, don't get upset, i'm safe, but i'm at our neighbour's place because someone broke into our fucking house!"
"WHAT?"
"There's a ladder up to the side of the house and I heard someone in the house, omgomg"
And after a long pause, he goes:
"...Gloria! It's the masonry guy!"
I kinda blinked, then.
+ Got to ride home in a cop car and wasn't in trouble?
