*Vale Cemetery
Wilton, NH
Blue lights rise from one particular grave and then sink back into the ground.

* Wilton - Vale End Cemetery
The "Blue Lady" is the ghost who haunts Vale End cemetery on many foggy and misty nights. She appears as a column of light, starting about two feet above her grave, and rising six feet in the air. On her best nights, the column is a brilliant blue-white, translucent, and about two feet wide. Others merely report a "bluish haze" that appears to have something in it. We've had more first-person stories about this ghost, than any other in this part of New England. The Blue Lady grave is towards the back of the cemetery, on the right (NNW) side. The headstone is unusually tall, broken at the top, and the names Mary Ritter and Mary Spaulding are on it. Vale End is now closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. It is patrolled to prevent further thefts and vandalism in the cemetery. The Mary Magdalene headstone/statue has been stolen, and perhaps others. We've advised against visiting the cemetery, and this new curfew makes it even more foolish to visit Vale End at night. We no longer provide directions to this cemetery because people don't take our warnings seriously.

*Vale End Cemetery
Vale End Cemetery in Wilton, off of Frye Highway, is haunted by many ghosts. The front right corner is called "the cold corner" because the entire corner of the cemetery is at least ten degrees colder than the rest of the area all the time. The most famous ghost of the cemetery is "the Blue Lady", Mary Spaulding. Her grave can be found in the right corner and is often glowing. She can be seen on foggy nights rising two to six feet above the ground in a blue, vertical streak of light near her grave. Also, a little girl, the first one to have been buried there, wanders around looking for her headstone because it was moved at some point. Her father, known as the old man, stays around the cul-de-sac end of the road watching out for her and the rest of the cemetery. He gets very upset easily and has been known to chase people out. There are many orbs seen at night and many of the headstones glow. Footsteps can be heard almost all the time, and the old man whistles if he wants to scare people.

i found some other intrusting things about wilton oh we are one hunted town:

* Wilton
This town seems to have more ghosts per capita than most towns, dating back to Colonial times. Check the history of the town in THE MEETINGHOUSE TRAGEDY by Charles E. Clark, illustrations by John W. Hatch, UNH. (Thanks to reader, MH, for this info.)

*Laurel Hill area
We have reports from a local investigator that a cemetery described as "across the street from Laurel Hill cemetery" is providing photographic anomalies at night. This visitor reports a purple streak in a videotape, similar to the image at our first purple streak photo. Also, possible figure of a man by the side of the road, near the cemetery. (Thanks to ghost hunter, jb, for this info.)

*Langdell House
Down the road from Vale End Cemetery (listed below) is an old, run down house called the Langdell House. It has been closed since the 1930's. In the house a man was killed in the attic, and now haunts it. During an investigation of the house, a paranormal investigator fell through the attic floor, through the kitchen floor, and died on contact in the basement and now hcunts the house from down there. The house is on private property and is across the street from an auction house. There have been reports of cold activity in rece nt years, and the house had a very evil feel to it when I went in. It feels as though someone or something is very mad that you are in there, and wants you out immediately.

have fun learning about the history of our lovely little ghost town!!!!!!!!!
