I'm not going to tell you about a girl...
I'm not going to tell you about a girl...
I'm a better person on the internet than I am in a classroom or a nightclub or in a restaurant and getting my vanilla soy latte at the cafe on the corner. I'm a better person because I know how to stay silent.
You hear that?
That's silence. That's the sound of me not telling you that my life is about to change, that I have big decisions to make, that I have good things and terrifying things coming up ahead. It's not because I don't want to jinx it, People of the Internet - I just don't want to be one of those people who spends all of their time talking about all of the great things they're going to do. The kind of people who go on and on about their big plans rarely follow through on them. No, the best way to do great things is to talk about them when they're already accomplished. Better yet, you shouldn't mention them at all - people should just know and they should pass along that knowledge in awe-struck whispers as you pass them by.
People of the Internet, there is nothing funny about my big plans. I can't make this into a series of amusing anecdotes. There are no funny characters. There is no witty dialogue. No one vomits on my head.
I won't be telling you about a girl. Instead, let me tell you a story about how I took my cats to the vet this morning. Everybody loves cats.
cats,
silence,
formless dread
