Weekly Summary
Another hectic week has gone by at work. Fortunately, my boss will be out of town all next week. That will give me time to get caught up on somethings. He had a little meeting with me on Friday. We have a new assistant starting a week from Monday. She will be assisting all of Donna's guys and Donna will now be the estimating assistant. He had mentioned that we will be moving in the next couple of months and once the move takes place, we will be hiring another assistant and another project manager. Eventually he said I will lose on of my managers and I will be strictly his and his dad's assistant. That is a good thing for the following reasons:
1. I know his dad's job really well. I am able to run his projects without any assistance when he is gone. Still being able to assist his dad will give me the opportunity to do his dad's job when he retires (hopefully within the next year or so).
2. I will be dealing with mostly financials of the organization. I am great with numbers.
3. I will rarely be doing job set ups and typical administrative work (less petty stuff).
4. Possibility of being the office manager (we are going to need one as we expand).
Enough with work. Earlier this week, I got to talk to my friend Derek. I haven't talked to him in soooo long. I really missed him. He made me smile all the time. Anyways, I found out that he is going to be a daddy and his baby girl is due in the next couple months. =) She is going to be adorable.
School has been a pain in the ass. I thought my law class (my last class) was going to be fun. I was wrong. I still don't even know my final grade in that class. The class I have now, Economics, well that sucks too. I just wish I took the break between classes. Oh well. I will manage to push through it.
I haven't talked to Bonita in a while. I hope she is doing ok. I am going to try and give her a call today to check up on her and my babies. I miss them sooooo much too. If I am not mistaken, her and Vic close the deal on their house by tomorrow. She was suppose to come back home in March, but she said she might be home in February. I hope it is February. I can't wait to see my new "nephew" and play with both him and Haven ("niece").
So tomorrow is a year and a half for Kevin and me. Good times and good fun...LOL! =)
