So much for procrastination...

All day today, I have resolved to go swimming. My costume is still on underneath my clothes, my bag is packed. Needless to say, the most wet I've got today is dipping my hands into the dishwater.

You see, I got slightly sidetracked when I was chatting online to a friend (we're going through the same kind of thing) and was on there longer than I meant to. Afterwards, I thought 'oh well - my fave programme is on the telly in a bit. I'll have it on in the background whilst I prepare some dinner for later'. All in all, that took an hour.

Then I resolved to go over some money stuff that had been bothering me for a while. I did sums, I made phonecalls, wrote an email to my Mum and Dad - all in my bathers. I realised then that I'd crossed off a big chunk of my To Do list and felt inclined to carry on. Still, no swimming...

I found a date in the diary and a venue for me and some funny people to get to know each other. I took pictures of the garden (it's just been done; it's not that I forget what it looks like as it's the view from my bedroom window so I hardly need a picture to remind myself of it). I found out my credit score (quite a bit better than I thought actually). I made inroads into my forthcoming move. I got hungry so I ate, but didn't want to swim on a full stomach so sensibly left it a while. This also coincided with the swimming pool being used for 2 hours by a swimming group. I set up my LiveJournal (and here it is! Do you like it?).

It was at this point I thought, 'right, damnit, I'm gonna swim, baby!' so took myself into the bathroom for a precautionary wee ... only to hear rain hitting the window ledge quite hard. I resolved to leave after the rain had passed - or until 19.45, whichever came first -  and busied myself on the computer in the meantime.

And then, THEN, my folks call me to chat and discuss my email, all of which takes me up to about 10 minutes before the pool shuts for the evening. Bugger.

And I'm STILL in my cozzie!

I could accentuate the positive though, as they say. At least I've got an extra pair of clean pants.
