Im mad. I was having a very good day...well sorda...until just now. I was talking to someone about gay marriage...they asked me to go to a site and it was somethign about gay marriage and supporting it and i told them i wasnt sure what i thought abuot it yet. and my dad told me...and i agree that it shoudnt be called marriage for gay people. It should be another kind of committment with different morals and stuff? I dont know it just shouldnt be "marriage". And she said my dad sounds like a repub. and i said yeah, he pretty much is because even though he dosent agree with EVERYTHING the repubs say and do, he dosent agree with anything liberals do. so she said its typical..for an old white man to be a repub. and i was like ugh stop sterotyping and i told her my dad used ot be a liberal and he read this book and it kinda changed him and she siad he was brainwashed by the book. it's not like he reads the book and goes by everything it's saying...hes into politics, its like a hobby, he follows the news, reads the wall street journal and reads different books. he forms his opinions by himself, he hasn tbeen "brainwashed" by a book or the news or anything. I dont know, im bad at explaining myself but i know he dosnet just...listen to what repubs say and agree on everything. he follows it, he probably even agrees on some of the things democrats say, but more w/ the repubs. so i dont want to hear that shit again. You can tell me my dads been brainwashed when you read more than him, watch more news than him, follow everything democrats AND republicans say and even read the things they say. When I get older, I plan to look at both sides, I'm not just going to be a republican because my dad is and I don't know shit about it. I also know a lot of old white men who are liberals. Just because the president is old and white and republican dosent mean every male republican is old and white. John kerry is old and he is white. If I ever get into an argument over this with someone...er well i dont know. I tend to say things and people are able to come up with things even better. but that is just what I think. I'm not a very good writer and I sound really immature and ignorant in this post, yes I know.
