Sooo I've been lamenting how broke we are, with the house & all that it entails (saving for the taxes, eeeek). Soooo what did I just do? I booked a flight to go to Cabo San Lucas... Gotta love my credit card. But, the flight was so cheap! WAY WAY WAY cheaper than flying up to No Cali where my parents live, like $100 cheaper than an instate flight!

Well I'll be. What directions do you have for getting to the county recorder's office? Off the freeway at San Antonio and right on Imperial?

I-5 to Norwalk Blvd to Imperial Hwy? When I called they gave me that address as the closest to Anaheim...did yahoo give me bogus directions? *starts to freak out*

Don't freak. Norwalk Blvd/San Antonio are the same at that point. I think the offramp reads Norwalk Blvd/San Antonio. Watch for either/both names. It's the exit after Pioneer Blvd if you're coming from the north. I think that offramp puts you off on a side street, so you turn left onto the sidestreet, (it's very short - you'll pass a Sultze's Automotive that's almost to the corner of Norwalk/San Antonio) then left again on Norwalk/San Antonio, going under the freeway overpass. when you see 3 lanes, don't get in the far right lane too soon - it becomes a right turn only at the Superior Court - get in the middle lane until you're past that. On the right, you'll see a big Sheratan hotel, a theatre complex, then the Superior Court, and Norwalk City Hall. There is a big fountain on the corner of Imperial, which is at the corner of the City Hall complex/greenbelt - turn right. The Recorder's office is right past the big Regional Library, which is the first big building after you turn

OH THANKS TONS, AGIE!! You are the best! Mike says he has been up there with his parents to pick up his brother's birth cert, but it's been years & he wasn't sure about where it was. Broke is bad. Thank the IRS for that!

(though they are giving me an $86 refund, which is what I paid for my first year of college here at Houghton...quite a bargain, eh?)

IRS is def NOT on my list of favs...heh.

Disneyland actually...it's only like an hour & 15minutes from here. Disney World is actually QUITE different now. I Love it there. Went last year, but a week is not enough time to take it all in. We went in 1997 & there was alot to do...now it's almost a ridiculous ALOT. I think you should try again as an adult...there's also Pleasure Island that has some cool clubs--comedy, dance, themed, adventurers, etc.

A trip to Wisconsin sounds like a must, I've never been to that part of the country, we should all go together, overwhelm lil sis... yeah it is a good plan.... if only I could take the kids with me I'd say go in snow time, they are DYING to see snow.
