We're having a great time! Just stepping out of the hotel and seeing all the license plates is fabulous - it feels like being in a James Bond movie. Staying in Belgravia is "lovely". Saturday I saw a Bentley parked in a tiny front driveway (really just a paved car-sized front "yard") during a stroll.
Here's the blow-by blow for Saturday: arrived uneventfully after mostly not sleeping on the plane. Checked in and wandered around while Chuck took a quick map. Had a sausage sandwich and a half pint of Young's bitter. Then we went on a long walk past Buckingham Palace, through St. James Park, past the Horse Guards at Whitechapel, past Westminister Palace and over Westminister Bridge to the London Eye ferris wheel. Alas I was about five minutes too late to buy tickets for that day, so scored some for Sunday. Then we had tea in a French patisserie and walked back. Dinner was steak and mushroom pie, with mushy peas and mashed potatoes on the side. Chuck had Deuchamps (?) IPA - wonderful flavors. I had an Adnams bitter. More later. Here's the link to Chuck's photos on Sunday, when we took a bus ride all around, walked the upper walkway over the Tower Bridge, and rode the London Eye.
