More Hours at Hannaford???
I got my schedule on Thursday and was only working Monday 2-6 and Saturday 1:45-5:45. 8 hours for the week so I went to Judy, the front end manager, and asked what the chance of me getting more hours was. She said that things wouldn't actually pick up until the weekend of the 26-28, great the weekend I took Saturday off, and then things would really pick up hours wise. I said ok so how can I get more hours now. She showed me the front end Shift leaders book and said you see this find your name write down please call for hours and put an X through the days you aren't available. So I told her what was good for me this week, every day but Thursday, and she said ok there you go if someone calls out they will call you. I said great. Sunday I got a call around 9:30 asking me to go in from 11-5:15. Sweet 6.25 hours, and last night they asked me to stay and extra 2.5 hours on top of my 4. Even better plus they asked me if I could work Friday 8pm to midnight. Which Friday is our first day open 6-midnight 7 days a week woot. So this week a hole 20 hours unless I get called in today or tomorrow. I really enjoy my job and everyone is real nice. They help me out when I need it an I have memorized 26 PLU numbers, Last week I only knew about 6-8. I am keeping a list upstairs of what I know. But a lot of the common items. Some that I want to learn beacuse it would make life so easy is, summer squash, russet potatoes, golden sweet potatoes, both kinds of cantalope, yes we have two kinds now one is the eastern at 1.99 and the other is the Athia or something like that at 2.99 or 3.99 i don't remember which but it's more expensive and a lot of them are the same size as the eastern or slightly bigger. We just got the second one in and already a lot of people know the number for the new one it's kind of crazy. There is one guy there I was going through produce one day and hes listing every number off the produce item as i'm ringing them through. It made it so much easier considering i didn't want to hunt for it with the produce in the middle of the order, there goes my ring times, lol just kidding. My ring times are pretty good. We have to have 25 rings per minute on the big register and 18 per minute on the express registers. I have 17.2 per minute on the big ones, and 13 on the express. I'm not that far off and I can't wait to get my ring times up.
Yesterday I went to walmart and bought a new Bike helmet because mine has a crack in it and has had for like 6 years now and I really needed a new helmet it's a pretty good crack and I've still used the helmet and so I decided that i needed a new one. This one is one of the ones with the visor attached, but it comes off, and the dial in the back to help adjust the helmet to your head. this one fits my head so much better than my old one I can't even believe it. It's awesome.
Today, I've started Laundry because I needed to wash my Work shirts they haven't been done in a while. I figure once a week is good for those but I think i need to do them each at different times during the week becuase of the fact what happens if I get called in while they are both in the wash. Sorry i can't come in because i'm washing my uniform. I don't know how well that would go over hehe. I'm going to pick up my room some more, and i'd like to play some wow seeing how DJ has flown past me with the priest too. I made a mage when he made his rogue my mage is level 8 or 9 his rogue is about 24. My priest is only 22. I've only gained one level since he started his rogue with my priest. It's sad. although he does play a lot more than I do.
Thursday he is coming over and we're gonna use the bikes to get around, I hope, and we are going to go over to grampies, and play some tennis at the park behind the house, then that afternoon if we can figure out transportation possibly a show in ogunquit but if not Heather is supposed to get back to me tomorrow, she brought up bowling in dover yesterday which i looked up is bowl all you want for 9 dollars on thursday and the 9 includes the shoes. She is trying to see if al is off so we can all go which is really great deal and if he's willing to drive us down it's even better. Lunch I'm going to attempt to make something if I can figure out what to make. Maybe I'll just go to the the store and buy one of those frozen stir fry easy to make deals who knows. lol.
But ok I'm going to eat my breakfast and then switch over laundry and play some wow. Later all.
