Dear various persons working in retail,
I get it, I worked in retail for years myself. That is *exactly* WHY I keep an iPod on me. The Maul noise brings nightmares of the Ghost of Christmas Past. So let me give you some simple guidelines:
1. When you see someone with earbuds in their ears, this is NOT an invitation to barge into their world and ask if they need help. If they need help, they will remove the buds and seek out one of the employees.
2. To CONTINUE to yap after the customer points at the buds (which are in plain sight) thus FORCING removal so you can politely be told to shoo? That's really, really bad form and manners. Refer to rule #1.
Be warned: The next one of you who barges into my little world you will find yourself swinging by said ear buds with The Hanson Brothers "mmm bop" on repeat.
