Seven stages of grief

Mar 17, 2010 17:58

I think I completely skipped a couple of stages and went straight to anger last week when I found out that he had cancer. Today I found out that he has 3wks to live. I found myself crying while driving home. My eyes are still watery and I have this intense need to focus on something else. I'm going to training tonight and I am going to focus so hard to make sure I don't think about it.

But what right do I really have to grieve? I haven't seen him for 5 years. I always loved him though. He was, strike that, IS an alcoholic and a chain smoker. But when I saw him 5yrs ago he was sober for me. Just one day and he thought me important enough to be sober. I think I loved him the most when I saw him that day. It will be what I remember when he passes.

And here come the tears again. This is stupid. I have to go.

Sorry to those that will see this ramble but I had to get it out somewhere.
