Seven days of self promotion (or just talking about vids and vidding)
I saw this around and it looked like fun. I want to post more and this seems like a good opportunity.
The Days:
1. Something old
2. Something new - talk about a new fanwork of yours!
3. Something you made for someone else
4. Something you made just for yourself
5. Something for a large fandom/pairing/character
6. Something for a small fandom/pairing/character
7. Something you're just really proud of
Something Old
Well, let's just go with something really old, namely my first vid ever (which also made up my first lj post ever, after years of lurking).
Stargate Atlantis was the first fandom I really did fandom in and John Sheppard has been my muse for a long time. This vid is a John Sheppard vid to Hole's Celebrity Skin and it's about John Sheppard being Cinderella or generally a pretty princess. (Back then I didn't know this was an actual thing, but when I found out, I was very happy about it. I mean, if we all come to this conclusion, then surely it must be true!)
There are parts I would do differently today, but that doesn't necessarily mean that'd make the vid better... I still like it and I think it was a good start into vidding and into active fandom participation.
