Django Unchained: The Music

Feb 01, 2013 21:05

I finally got to see Django Unchained and I enjoyed it a lot!

I love western movies and I'm very fond of many old Italian westerns and so I especially loved that the intro was the theme from the original Django movie with Franco Nero (who has a cameo in Django Unchained) by Sergio Corbucci. Even the landscape in the beginning looked similar to the one in the old movie. I love that Tarantino is such a fan!
Unfortunatelly I cannot find the opening sequence of the movie, just the song. The opening is quite intriguing, though, it's Django dragging a coffin over rough terrain, quite similar filmed like the opening sequence in Django Unchained.

And I also loved that the song at the end is from the first Bud Spencer / Terence Hill comedy western They call me Trinity, (They had made a few serious western movies before that, but they got famous with the comedy ones.) I've had this song on my mp3 player for a long long time and hearing it in the cinema was so so awesome!!!
Here I did find the opening sequence and I find this quite intriguing as well.
