I'm so delighted that your are going to make a vid for me. If you already have an idea then that's great. I love these sources and I'd love to see what you'll do with them. I like character vids, ensemble vids, meta vids, slash vids, vids that make me think, vids that make me cry and vids that make laugh.
However, if you'd like some details as to what it is I love about these sources please read on.
Kill Bill
I love each and every character in the movie and I'd be thrilled to receive a character vid featuring any one of them, an ensemble vid, however, would be awesome as well. Having said that, I do have a certain fondness for Budd because even though he seems like a total loser he actually comes closest to defeating Beatrix and because of this: "This woman deserves her revenge and we deserve to die. But, then again, so does she, so I guess, we'll just see, won't we?"
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
I love the dynamic of the three protagonists and I love the beautiful and disturbing imagery.
The Blues Brothers (1980)
It's just so so cool.
- It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
- Hit it.
Thelma & Louise - 1991
I think it features one of the most beautiful on-screen friendships ever.
Young Guns films
They are westerns. They are about Billy the Kid. They have 80s/90s rock music. They have Emilio Esteves, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen, Christian Slater, Lou Diamond Phillips.
Universal Soldier (1992)
I love how both Luc and Andrew are consumed by the one thought/impulse they had at the time of their deaths.
Bubba Ho-Tep (2002)
I love the mixture of funny, scary and strange.
Mulholland Falls (1996)
I love the mood of the movie and the line "He said the cornerstone of civilization is human sacrifice." contributes a lot to it. I'd love a vid centered around that concept. (Plus it got Michael Madsen and Chris Penn in it.)
Treats are welcome.
