Dear Festividder,

Thank you so so much for making a vid for me!! First of all, have fun and enjoy the vidding!! I love all these sources and can't wait to see what you will do with them. I like many kinds of vids, they can be sad, funny, silly, serious, over the top, a mixture of things. I like character studies, ensemble vids, shipping and slash vids, meta vids, it's all good. The same goes for music, I tend to prefer fast paced songs, but there are also vids to slow songs out there that I adore. The only dislike I have is that I don't like voice overs. A bit of dialogue at the beginning or end is fine, but constant dialogue during a vid does not work for me. It pulls me out of the flow and I don't know whether to listen to the song or the lines and I end up not being able to get into it.

If you already have an idea in mind by all means go for it! If there's this one vid for this one source that you've always yearned to make, this is your chance! Here are some details about these sources and what I love about them.

Olsen-banden | The Olsen Gang (Movies)
These movies are a big part of my childhood and I still enjoy rewatching them. They are heist movies about small time Danish criminals who are always looking to make millions in order to live happily ever after in Spain. In almost every movie the plan works perfectly, but then something goes wrong and Egon goes to jail. There he comes up with a new plan and the next movie starts with Kjeld and Benny picking him up from prison to do the whole thing over again.

Here's a clip from one of my favorite Olsenbanden movies.

The actual heist begins at about 7 minutes in. This is in German, but you don't need the language for this scene, trust me. This is one of the most amazing scenes in any movie in my opinion :)

I love all the characters here. I'd love an ensemble vid, maybe a collection of all the heists and/or all the recurring elements used in the movies. But really I'll love everything you'd make here!

Sie nannten ihn Spencer I They Called Him Spencer (2017) SAFETY
This movie is a road movie style documentary. Marcus had a bad accident as a kid and the only thing that could make him laugh during his long recovery were Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies. Jorgo is blind from birth, but always listened to the movies and recorded them with a cassette recorder, listening to them over and over. Both want to tell Bud Spencer how much he means to them and so they go on a trip to find him. On the way they talk to former co-stars, stuntmen and other people involved with the movies.

This is so heartwarming and wonderful! I love Marcus and Jorgos friendship. Feel free to include footage from the movies as well. (There's a lot of that already in the documentary.)

Dinosaurs (1991)
I recently rewatched this and I love it a lot. It really holds up and the show dealt with a lot of important issues which I didn't really realize as a kid. Plus the dinosaurs are adorable and the I love their physicality. Something sweet and fun could be awesome, but feel also free to go dark, like last episode dark, and emphasize the brilliant sarcasm.

Slow West (2015) SAFETY
This is such a beautiful and complex movie. It has stunning images, beauty, cruelty, kindness and a wonderful sense of humor. I love how driven Jay is and I love how Silas grows to care for him.

Big Business (1988) SAFETY
This is an old childhood favorite. Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin are amazing in it and there's a lot of wonderful character moments as well as brilliant physical comedy.

Young Guns
I love these movies so much. I love that they are fun 80s badass cowboy movies, but at the same time they're also pretty bleak and tragic. I adore Doc/Billy and would love something that deals with their complicated relationship. A vid from Chavez' point of view would also be interesting.

Dolemite Is My Name (2019) SAFETY
I love this movie and how fun and hopeful it is. I love that Rudy has this vision and he doesn't let anybody tell him what he can and can't do. The scene at the end where they're sitting in the limousine and are brought down by bad reviews really moved me. I loved how Rudy told them that they're already winners, even if noone would show up to watch their movie. They'd accomplished something and that's worth a lot, regardless of what the outside world might think. I really loved that. And I adore every character!

Rawhide
I adore this lovely cowboy show. There's some not that great stuff in it for sure, but I love the characters and their interactions. Especially Gil and Rowdy. I would love a sweet little Gil/Rowdy vid.

Please be assured that I love all these sources. I have focused on some more than others, but I'd LOVE a vid about any of these.

Thank you again so so much for making a vid for me!! Have fun, enjoy making it and know that I cannot wait to watch it!! :D

Treats are welcome!
