LARPy goodness!
Had a fucking AWESOME time at the Gathering this weekend...really, really, really enjoyed myself. All kinds of crazy things happened and I've not had this much fun in such a long time. It was AMAZING!!! I entered a competition with a guy I met whilst there and we won third place and I got a sweet little prize that will come in handy for the NEXT event (oh yes it shall be so) and I feel like i made a lot of friends this weekend.
Unfortunately I am now back in real life (tm) and feel exhausted and a little sunburnt. Back to DVDs with Dave due to lack of money and a certain feeling of restlessness and monontony (LOL....back to school on Monday...that's not going to hurt at all is it?!) Having said that I did miss him more than anything in the world this weekend, but still the break was nice...and of course absence makes the heart grow hornier... ;) We had quite an emotional reunion on the station platform...aww bless!!!!
Thank you to Steve who looked after me really well and was very patient at explaining everything I didn't understand along with his friends (who were all well lovely!) Also randomly bumped into Amoss which rocked. Had a quick catch up in between him marshalling things. He was also a tremendous help when the market place was invaded and I didn't have anything to hit people with. (It really was a very large sword...)
Had Jade tonight which was lovely, she said she'd missed me while I was away. She's coming to stay this weekend so will get to spend a lot of time with her then. I think we may make somthing artsy because she likes glue and scissors and things. I may actually be the best step mother ever!
Have planned another scheme of work with Zoe today, despite being absolutely exhausted from my fantastic weekend. I'm pretty much ready to go back although I wish I had another few weeks off LOL! Have decided I'm definately doing my MA, just don't really know how I'm going to afford it...faith manages I guess.
Oh! And have been inducted into THE GAME. Never again can I hear a beeping noise without a very disturbing image in my head. Thanks again, Steve...mate.
