The first cigarette of the day.
hi-di-hi campers!
very little supply teaching at the moment, so have been achieving lots with my free time. flat is clean, have baked bread and cake, have made potato salad, have been planning my decorating and have been working at the pub.
this has proved very useful for several reasons. i now have a cheap supply of tobacco from a bloke at the pub, i have found a smashing hairdresser, and i have met a writer, who asked to see my work and told me that editing would be beneficial (oh claire...if only i was graeme at that moment) but essentially it was brilliant. sweet! so of course now im scribbling away like my life depends on it and all traces of writers block have vanished thanks to miles. hes very sweet, but at 60 i think hes a little old for me. i ahve also made a ton of friends, so its all good. very happy indeed.
i also bought a bike about two weeks ago, and the other night i rode it up to the lake to watch the sun set. i sat there watching it go down in this amazing flash of red and orange and i felt so small and happy...must do that again soon.
having lithotripsy treatment at st james on monday, so will be out of commission til wednesday due to a sore and bruised body. my dads gonna come pick me up so that will be cool. my friend dave has volunteered to come keep me company but i know he'll get bored. he wont take the hint though.
david's coming up this weekend so that will be cool, hanging out and drinking probably..hurray! ages since ive done that. have to work at the pub both tonight and for a few hours tomorrow afternoon which sucks though. ill probably be there sunday night too. i do like it, id just rather not. money is good however.
in the middle of sorting out going back to uni to finish pgce. have had letter from occupational health to say im fine to go back so that end is taken care of. should be placed at a school a bit closer to me, eg bradford or halifax, so thats good too. a little worried about where the money is going to come from but ill figure that nearer the time. cant wait to get back into a classroom properly, supply teaching has helped but i really miss having 'my' kids and all that. i know its sad.
plans for the day include not much...im popping into rochdale (shudder) cos theres bank stuff i need to do, but other than that im free till 7 tonight when i go to work.
everything is good. well, apart from the obvious, but i know it'll happen when its time.
oh, and i want to have a party soon...with mass visitations from leeds. can people leave comments saying whether or not they want to come and when would be best for them? going to get people to come over from all over the place...accrington, leeds, rochdale, manchester...itll be cool. yeay!
