It rained on the last day so went went to Trocadero and sat in a bar overlooking the Eiffel Tower drinking 9 Euros beers!

Got back last night. Joseph said he feels he has a hangover from the weekend and I know what he means if I could spend my life wandering the streets of Paris and sipping Cappucinos and Europeans beers I would. But alas at 9 euros a pint its not to be!

We had an absolute blast though when we arrived I couldnt help thinking that I liked Berlin better, mostly due to being lost in the gargantuan Gare Du Nord train station and not having a clue where or what train to get. After we figured out how to get on the train ( Walk THROUGH the barrier!) we got to our lovely hotel complete with Parisian balcony dumped our stuff and headed off to the Eiffel Tower. Joseph didnt want to go up so we sat in the surrounding Gardens and watched the sun go down across the Seine. I am mighty glad we did because the Eiffel Tower is gorgeous at night and it sparkles for 10 minutes every hour. A wee man sold us a bottle of wine and we sat and drank until it got cold and dark.

We went on a boat tour of the Seine the next day and just as we got off the boat a terrifying thunderstorm erupted we hid in the boat building thing although not after we had already got soaked. We had a wander through Champs Elysee and Nortre Dame and up to the Arc De Triopmh. We spent the night wandering around Monmartre,  I have never seen so many sex shops in my life!

We didnt get on that well with ordering food and I got put off by the fact that everything had fish or beef in it. I did have the best fucking ecalair you have ever tasted in your life and a heart which Joseph bought me from a proper chocolatier which was so nice I cant even describe it.

The best thing we did was on saturday night when we put on our best clothes and headed to Les Folies Bergere to see Cabaret in French. As soon as we got there it was like stepping back 80 years, the place was grand beyond belief and we had good seats. We treated ourselves to a few glasses of champigne and went up to watch the show. It was fantastic and even though it was in French we understood every word because the acting was so good.

When we got back to the hotel and were just going to sleep it sounded like the hotel was being invaded by yanks squaking at the top of their voices and shouting across the hall at each other.  I listened to her roaring down the phone to her friend in America " Yeah I know Its like 1:30 here would you believe it?" Welll yeah I could believe it especially as she had her fucking TV on full blast and was watching some bloody French game show. So I went in and gave out to her big horsey bake. She neighed and turned the TV down.  When we went to the Catacombs the next day I heard someone with an American accent excalim " Wow look there are skulls everywhere" Yes you fucking knobhead what did you expect, fluffy bunnies? Your in a bloody Catacomb.

We did some last minute shopping yesterday and I got some shoes for the same price as a beer and we had our last Coffee in Paris as we watched Montmartre go by.

Back to real life now and I have 8 hour rehearsls all week and were moving house on Saturday. Joy!
