(no subject)
Well, I took the kittens in this morning to the vet clinic for their spaying. They didn't even fuss on the way over there :-)
They're such good little kittens!
I ended up including the tests for feline leuk and their first boosters which bumped up the total cost to $360 for each cat. But the leuk test is something they should get, it being fatal and all. Plus, I feel that this is money well spent.
Better to spend my $$$ on two kittens than to stand in line for some Black Friday sale at 0400 or whatever ridiculous hour the stores open at.
I will be able to pick them up later this evening, but I can call after 1200 to check on them. The SO wants to help pay for them and I think he's been thinking about keeping them. I told him we really can't, and as much as I would like to keep them also, we just don't have the stability right now to do that. I mean, I'm not working at the moment, and he's toying with retiring soon; plus we're not planning on staying here in Texas, which means another move (and if we kept them, it would involve moving 5 cats this time). So I feel, the best thing for them is to find good homes for them. At least they'll be spayed and have their first series of vaccinations taken care of.
I just hope the spaying goes well. Crossing my fingers!
