Real Time Update

Well, I'm in Arizona visiting with friends for a while. I spent the first two days just kind of being lazy and doing a whole lot of nothing and then the past two days looking for a job. While this amount of time does not seem like a lot to most of you, when you are looking for a job dancing at a strip-club this is an astounding amount of time spent job searching.  It usually takes about 20 minutes plus drive time to the club of your choice to aquire a job.

Yesterday we went to two place, both of which denied us.  The first it seemed like they were going to hire us. They were excited to have us there auditioning and they said they needed girls.  While I was on stage the DJ was like "Oh yeah, I think we are keeping this one!"  Then after we had finished auditioning they told us they had "too many girls and didn't need anymore on staff at this time."

So, the manager gave us a list of other clubs to try and told us the second on the list was 99% sure to hire us.  We drove out to it even through it was quite a distance away from where we were staying (54 miles) because he said it would be pretty likely.  The manager there met us at the door and I told him we wanted to audition but if he didn't think he would hire us to please tell us up front so that we wouldn't be wasting our time trying to get a job there.  He assured us we wouldn't be and we went in and auditioned.

The patrons of the bar seemed to love us, the DJ liked us, the girls really liked us but yet we were denied a second time.  This time I was told, "Oh I just talked to the owner and he told me that we aren't going to hire any out of state girls from now on."

I have never been fed so many lines of bull crap in one day.  If they didn't think we were right for their club they could have just said so.

So we drove more than 120 miles in one day, spent 40 dollars on gas, and had no job by 2am. Both clubs ended up wasting precious time we could have spent going to other clubs by not just telling us up front that we weren't the kind of girls they were looking for.  Mostly, that's the thing that irked me the most.

The next day, we went to a club closer to the place we are staying and it was MUCH nicer, friendlier, the girls were prettier, and they gave us a job right away. Bully for them!  We are now working at a place called Sonny's in Chandler Arizona.
