First attempt of NC17 fanart...

Jan 05, 2006 14:46

Consider there's no public display of sexual activity nor reproductive organs, this might not be NC17 at all.

Harry talks to Draco's left arm[Harry/Draco, NC17(?)](still, discretion advised)

Random thoughts and memo to self )

art: fanart, harry potter: harry/draco

It might just be me and my own personal preference, but I soooo prefer something like this over full-blown porn (with graphic male genitalia, I mean). This is obvious but yet not in-your-face; it leaves some to the imagination. And that, IMHO, is hundred times more sexy and sensual and arousing (etc!) than pure porn. Ah, it's hard to explain -_-;

I really just find this beautiful, in all senses of the word. I love Harry's pose, the look in his eyes and his possessive grip on Draco's arm. I also love how his right arm is hanging down and obscuring his private parts; because it's so very natural (as opposed to, for example, comics where nudity is covered by some random leaf or whatever). And Draco is absolutely stunning, I'm especially enthralled with his ass *sheepish smile*

Oh, and your shading is mind-blowing as always! Seriously, I so admire your cross-hatching (not that that's any news, but still). The little glare on the left glass of Harry's glasses is such a nice touch; it makes the glasses appear to truly be made of glass ( ... )

I'm glad that you like the drawing. Thank you.

Me too. I even find some of them (gay or not) disturbing to watch. To me the obsession to each other's body is sexier than the sex itself, so I guess I might not be able to draw NC17 porn forever.

Thank you. I fiddled with his ass too many times, and I almost feel bad about the huge blob of white out that I put on it.

And glasses are hard to draw, IMHO. I wish JKR hadn't made Harry wear glasses.

Thank you, I'm thrilled that you loved this piece, and I hope your writer's block will go away soon. :-D

1. I love most that Harry doesn't look like Dan Radcliffe. He looks like a Harry. This is good. And the same goes for your Draco.

2. You + Big Bang = me squeeing. I'm kind of selfishly hoping you got one of ours to do. (Don't tell me, though! Don't destroy the dream!)

3. Comments are love for everyone, and no one gets enough.

4. It is rather technical, I agree there, but not everything has to be otherwise. As for drawing boythings, have you read any yaoi? Some of its blanked and some of it isn't, but either way it's damn hot stuff. ♣

1. Thanks. Dan and Tom Felton look fabulous, although they are quite different from what I picture Harry and Draco. Guess we all interpret fictional characters in our own way and it must be hard to find actors that can satisfy everybody.

2. I haven't read all entries, to tell the truth, although I like the one that I am doing a lot. :-)

3. Yeah I agree. It's more like a "give-and-take" thing, and for myself who suck badly at commenting, I reckon I should either start doing it more often or just get used to live without too much love.

4. Yes I read yaoi, although I prefer the older stuff. I used to buy yaoi magazines but then I stopped buying altogether, 'cuz I found that stories had become rather repetitive. But yes the sex part is hot. From what I've seen so far, the uke never smiles during the session, which makes me wonder if Japanese culture sees uke enjoying sex as shameless.

3. Love is over-rated. Buy a pug.

4. I don't think any of them smile during sex. I mean, do most people? I wouldn't deem it the most rip-roaringly funny thing ever. But even the fact that there's the whole seme/uke culture speaks volumes. It's not like that really.

It might not be porn, but it is amazing. It's beautiful, sophisticated and has so much feelings in it. what I love most about your art is that you don't have a single drawing that's dry. Everything you draw is full of emotion (that's how I see it). I have no words for your art and I can never say enough. I can't even put into words my feeling about this drawing.
But maybe if you think you can't draw nude, you should learn and do technical stuff before you can draw actual porn?

Thank you. I'm glad. :-)

Don't worry you are far better than some others. *points to self* I can write one liners at best. I have tried to write longer comments, but then time required to write more than one line seems to grow exponentially, and I really don't have the words to express my love to a piece of good art/fic.

But maybe if you think you can't draw nude, you should learn and do technical stuff before you can draw actual porn?
True. Maybe I should go find photography books and do some studies. Thanks for the advice. :-)

I looked at it again, and one thing struck me: Draco's hair is love, but Harry's could stand to be a bit messier. It's meant to be wild and woolly in canon.

MAPPLETHORPE IS SEX.

Gotcha. Sorry Harry dear I have to do this to you next time, but it's for your (or our) own good.

There's this line between erotic art and pornography, and Mapplethorpe's work is, um, "something else". I don't know how to describe my feelings towards his more controversial work; some I love, some I find inovative, but there are a few which I truly don't know how to appreciate. Maybe my taste of art is too average.

YEAH, HARRY. HAIRBRUSHES ARE FOR LOSERS. I speak from experience.

Me, I don't know ... my reaction to art is just primitive, really. I like it or I don't, and either way I can't really analyse why it should be so. But I'm happy that way!

sakdaskldfjhs!! Your Draco is... *GUH*

Rating-wise it's R, IMO. I totally think it's very artistic! Far from p0rn or anything filthy like this. Now this is ouright, filthy, shameless pr0n.

The best way to practice is to have a real nude model posing for you, but that's pretty much impossible unless you're an art student. The next best thing I find is nude photos. But I myself had trouble finding good reference pics on internet :/ So I use yaoi manga :P Most of them acutally don't draw explicit genitalia and yet they manage to make it all HAWT and SMEXY. Subtlelty like that is very awesome <33

I would very much love to know how other artists work tho'!

Ohmygodohmygod. Oh. My. God. Your p0rn. Wowwowwow--- *faint*

(Guess I am still far away from being able to draw porn.)

Thank you very much for the link of your work, sweetie. I got the idea of how H/D p0rn is like. Hey isn't porn supposed to be filthy and shameless? or else it wouldn't be so hot. :-)

I also find it hard to find good nude pictures on the net - guys are all 30-ish macho, who make up like probably 2% of the entire world population. Haven't done a search on female nude 'cuz I'm frightened by the prospect of what may come up.

Yaoi manga? Yeah it probably is what I should first research. (Although sometimes the way some artists render human body parts reminds me of toys.)
