Puppy Names
I believe the puppies have names: Mars & Pluto
Mars had the red collar; he is the runty puppy with plenty of attitude, more overtly and quickly affectionate, quick to kiss, loves an ear rub and belly rub, he also steals Pluto's rawhide bones. Mars will happily nap in the middle of the floor belly up, paws akimbo.
Pluto had the black collar; he is larger, calmer, and is a natural fetch dog. He is learning to walk nicely on the leash more quickly than Mars. He loves to eat and has a prodigious appetite. Pluto also is quick to find a corner or hidey hole to curl up in for his naps.
They went with us to the Arts & Crafts Fair yesterday and did very well hanging out in the small dome with us, taking a walk about on their leashes, having a nap in front of my chair, and then at the end of the day when everybody else had gone, they hung about with us as we tore down the dome booth even off their leashes. Never wandered away. Everybody thought they were beautiful.
Today they are spending most of the day in the Alpaca pen with the bigger white fluffy critters. The older Alpaca girls are issuing occassional alarm calls - sounds like a rusty gate with squeeky hinges, but they'll get used to the dogs.
The boys are currently napping by one of the water buckets in the Paca shelter. They LOVE water and will drink it and splash in it any time it is available including biting and licking at water running out of the tap into a bucket. Any new water bucket or source requires immediate attention even if they just had a drink.
