AAAAAUUUUUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!!
So i went to go try and apply at two places today: the new Target opening at the irvine spectrum, and the new Jo-ann's superstore in irvine on barranca.
so i go to Target first. i get there at 1:30pm, sign in. they tell me to wait untill the next application kiosk is open, which is about 10 minutes later. okay.
i go to start filling it out, and the text on the screen is running off to the side and i can't se the right side or the very bottom of the screen, which has the instructions on it. i tell the person, and they call up the help desk. finally they tell me to fill out a paper application. i get one and start filling it out. i finish my application at about 2:20, then go and say i'm done. at 3:00pm someone asks me if i'm being helped yet. no....
so she takes my application back and finds out that they didn't give me the very first sheet of the application and didn't give me the stupid character test you're supposed to take. one problem, they give me the Spanish version of the test. i get the english version. so finally, i finish at 3:30. then i go get someone and tell them i'm done.
30 minutes later, they tell me to come back tommorrow at 2:45 for an interview. as they tell me this, i notice the person who came in 20 minutes after i did sit down for his interview (they were doing interviews all day after you did your app.) i start crying, cause i have been there for 2 and a half hours being ignored. so i leave.
so i drive over to jo-anns and get there at about 4:45pm. they go, well, its getting kinda late, come back tommorrow. i tell them what happened and the very very very nice lady calls the manager and the manager says to fill out an app, and sicne i used to work there, they need to call HR and see if i'm rehirable (i am, cause i did a good bit of work and my old sup. has been begging me to come work at her store in costa mesa. i would but its a little bit far away for me.)
so basically i spent all day trying to get a job, and only got one application in, since target told me to tkae my paper app home with me.
at this point i'm just gunna say fuck you Target. and i'm keeping the test you had me do, even though its obviously something you reuse. so fuck you guys. i'm gunna work for jo-anns.
