K: Hi.
Me: You're doing nothing, right?
K: I'm laying on the couch.
Me: What are you watching?
K: 12 Monkeys.
Me: But you're not doing anything, right? You're just lying there?
K: Yeah. I think I'll watch Platoon later.
Me: Oh man. That'll cheer you right up.
K: I know!
Me: You may be sick as hell, but at least you're not dead.
K: And it's not like I'm in a horrible unjust war or anything.
Me: Seriously. Can you imagine living in a country that does that sort of thing?
K: That would be awful!
Now I want to go home and snuggle with my poor, sick girl, and watch a movie that makes me cry so hard it hurts.
