Oh boy. The non-collater from my previous post has appeared twice today to apologize. The first time I was on the phone and he left a message for me. He came back an hour later and apologized again. Apparently he found out what the word actually means.
Yesterday I had two spectacular wins:
1)
Girdlebound wins at customer service. I ordered from them a while back, wore the thing twice, and discovered that a great deal of the stitching had come un-done. I repaired some of it myself, but realized that it would be an ongoing issue. I was worried about returning it because I had paid for custom dye, and didn't want to lose the money for that as well as shipping. They offered to send me a new one, dyed, no shipping charge. I asked if they could send a different model, and they didn't have a problem with that, and even refunded me the difference ($13). Also, I don't have to send back the faulty one, and I will totally repair it on my own. Yay!
2)
eBay (did I really just waste the keystrokes to link that?) and I don't have the best history (remember the disaster wedding dresses?), but this time it all worked out. I ordered a pair of vintage eyeglass frames, and the ones that arrived weren't what was pictured. The color was the same, but the shape was different in a very unflattering way. Once again, the seller offered to ship me the correct pair and told me to keep the other for my troubles. I'm totally going to re-sell them.
Also, apparently I am getting promoted.
