How the heck does this work?
Having just joined the livejournal community I have no idea how it works. My hope is that I can figure it out and start posting somewhat regularly. Just to warn anyone who reads this I am a horrible grammarian. Here goes my first attempt at a blog...
It's 2:45 on the Friday before a three day weekend and I have very mixed feelings. I really love the people I work with and always seem to miss them when we have long weekends but I'm excited that I get to have three days to catch up on sleep. Downside to catching up on sleep: more time at home. Love my parents and all but moving back home after living on my own for 6 years is very trying and I know that I'm a bitch quite frequently...something I'm working very hard on.
I have no plans for this weekend because all of my friends live far away from me and thus I have no life. I'm usually very against New Year's resolutions because I firmly believe that they are meant to be broken but I actually made one this year I intend to keep: to meet new people. I've joined a few groups on meetup.com in hopes of following through with my resolution. The majority of groups I joined have to do with food and wine (of course) and I'm excited to meet people while participating in one of my favorite hobbies.
Well, that's it for my first blog. A special shout out to Lara because she is the one who nagged me incessantly to get a blog.
