Last Saturday, to launch
Barkers' new collection of
Prostate Cancer Foundation fondraising
designer boxers, volunteers turned up at
Mt. Smart Stadium to map out the number 600 while wearing the Barkers boxers- which symbolises the 600 NZ men each year that die from prostate cancer.
I heard about this on the tv the weekend before so got a few brave mates from the lab to come (we work on breast cancer mainly but also other hormonal cancer including prostate cancer).
It was a beautiful sunny day, compared to the rainy days before. We don our complementary boxers and drank hot coffee and ate our free sausages, and finally it was time to lie on the grass, take off the last bit of clothing for the photo. It was a very successful and fun day I thought.
I am in the inside lining of the middle zero at around 4 o'clock direction - I think about the 10th straight person down from the top - I was between Teresa and Jane.
Here is us posing shamelessly afterwards - done in tasteful black & white (like the celebs photo!):

We got interviewed by TV3 news cameraman, but we weren't on the news unfortunately. Which is ok cos we were half naked for the interview - might not be too kiddie-friendly. Afterwards Lolo is all like 'aw I'm so proud of my friends today!' haha.
I guess this is the closest to skinny dipping I have ever done. I always wanted to go skinny dipping one day at least this is better cos it's not cold and wet.
