Recycled Rainbow Primer report!
Recycled Rainbow Primer came and went. A muchly anticipated happening, and it was better than i think anyone expected it to be. It was better than Primer '08, and better than RR '07, i should say. Around 25 people were consistently there (stayed the whole weekend.) There were new faces, particularly Kimberly/Dakota, who came, didn't know anyone, and built a labyrinth out of dried grass clippings she collected from the land. She then had a ceremony for it on Sunday night, which put numerous people to tears.
Metamorphosis was there (Everyman's camp setup, as some will remember from RR08.) Craig's "Demon Town" too. There was the dome that Froggy, Tyger, and Justin built, which played righteous music and projected stuff inside. I loved this dome. I want to marry this dome.
In Metamorphosis, for the first time ever, Frass Accolades and 9-Volt Haunted House had a collaborated performance, which rocked my brains.
Nick/The DBS (Department of Buildin' Shit) built a tower, which was burned on Sunday night. Most of us decorated it with spray paint. My design - so i noticed about ten minutes later - looked like breasts. Yay. lol
Because the flames were so tall, locals saw them and thought the trees were on fire, so they called the fire department. I was half freaked half deeply amused when the cop car suddenly drove into the field as the tower was burning. I was even more entertained when the fire department showed. We told them we were gonna do it, but they came anyway. It was all handled, the tower burnt on, and no one was arrested. Yay!
Other bits:
~ Kristal Light came! Yay! Grandma Iguana!
~ The tequila that had jalapeno peppers soaking in it. I had one shot, and my mouth was tingly for the rest of the night. What a trip!
~ Dudas put on a Hunter Thompson look/persona for a little while on one fo the days (Sunday?) That was a win!
~ Sam brought really good cheese, one kind which was soaked in alcohol. Yum.
~ Also of Sam: Monday morning at around 4:30am, around the fire at the Java Hut. Most of the people still awake were there. Sam was staring at the fire, cursing it: "Scheisse! Scheisse! Sssccchheisse!!" I couldn't stop giggling. :D (It's an inside joke. To get it too, watch the awesome that is Ultrascheisse, if you dare...)
~ I brought a memory stick with numerous movies on it, and got Everyman to project "The Good Old Naughty Days" at Metamorphosis, which is a compilation of early 1900s porn.
~ Press The Button (experimental noise awesome stuff) was performing (also at Metamorphosis) when the old porn began, so they started going along with it. Squeakee-squeakee, wrrrrrr...lol
