Oooh i have a headache. But i'm *20* now! And ooh i had an eventful evening. :)

6:45pm, Bob gets to my house at exactly the time i told him to be there. I am deeply surprised. :p Hands me a gift: Very cool Dragon sword. I'll post a photo soon. *grins*

We (me, my dad, and Bob) get into deh van and drive to the pub. Bob falls asleep in the van. lol We take stuff in (roadies can come into the bar, whether they're under age or not. :p) Bob meets Chris and Neecy, the other two band members. Bob and i walk down the street in search of an energy drink to hopefully wake Bob up. We fail at this quest. Go back, band starts shortly after. Bob spends the first set trying not to fall asleep. (Lacking sleep and after a long day: He doesn't handle that well.) Something gave him energy after that though, and he was playful, into the music, and seeming to have a good time. (Big grin on his face when the band did "When Love Comes To Town", clapped extra hard for that tune, and he had to ask me what the song was called. lol Well yay, he had a good time. :)) He got along pretty well with the band. We even put him to work setting stuff up. lol

For the second set, i got to sing with the band. *grins* "True Religion". I was the lead singer for that one, and sang pretty hard. Well, the audience seemed to like it. After that, Bob had that "i like you" look in his eyes, but i somehow felt myself not caring so much.

At one point, let me note, he stole my bracelet, and put it in my glass. Well, about half an hour later, i turned around, and found that the waitress had taken the glasses (because they were empty). I looked for my bracelet: Nowhere. Bob felt bad about that one, and i couldn't stop laughing. We went up to the bar, and they knew about it. Couldn't find it at first, but yeah. I did get my bracelet back. lmao Stupid boy!

At midnight, as my birthday came and i unofficially became 20 years old (won't be official 'til 11:28am), the band was playing "Pride and Joy", which was originally a Stevie Ray Vaughan song. Now, you have to understand that as a musician's daughter, i have been a fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan literally all of my life. He died in a helicopter crash in 1990. I was 4, and i was devastated. I did cry. It was terrible. So they play this song i've known all of my life, and loved all of my life (it's very possibly my favorite Stevie R V tune ever). I was sitting there grooving, and this much older dude comes up and signals me to come dance with him. So i join him, and we groove and just have a good time. :) (It was just a good time thing, he wasn't hitting on me or anything. A "hey, yay, i have someone to dance with!" thing.) Then, after the song, dad noticed that it was a little past midnight. So the band did a special song: He dedicated it to me, his daughter, who was now celebrating her birthday. "Happy Birthday" (Beatles version), which that band had never performed before. They kicked ass, and i had my dance parter for that song again too. Bob all the while - not the dancer, which i knew, and am totally fine with :) - often looking at me, grinning. Heck yeah, i'm having a good time!

It's funny. He saw me in my element. Being outgoing and having a good time with the band and rock and roll. There's a reason i'm shy at the theater: It's not my realm. But in a bar with great live kick ass music? Oh i think you'll see someone you didn't know i was: An outgoing party-esque grooving chick.

I don't think Bob had ever been to a bar before, while i've been going to bars since i was a baby (again: i'm the daughter of a musician. loud live music in a bar was something i first experienced literally as a baby. :p) So yeah...
Bob: I'm hungry...
Me: Well, they probably have food here, you know.
Bob: Really?
Me (thinking "er...duh"): Yeah!

I had a truly great night. *grins* It may be the best birthday i've ever had...or at least one of the top 5. And my birthday has hardly even started. This day is almost 3 hours old. lol

Witch Hazel performing (Chris on bass, Neecy on drums, my dad on guitar), and Bob in the lower right corner. This was during the first set, when he was still trying to stay awake. lol He did apologize for that. I felt bad for the kid.
