Bear with me baby, I'm a little behind

For the last two nights, I've had the most enthusiastic dreams. The first was a rather inflamed, shall we say, dream that took place on the set of Gilmore Girls with both Dean aka Jared Padalecki and Jess aka Milo Ventimiglia being there. Except, confusingly, it was sort of like a future-GG, and was set in New York. Sadly I wasn't participating in ( Read more... )

There must be something in the air or something, because I've had *ahem* vigorous dreams for the last few nights, too. :D

Lucky Bono! ;)

The film sounds fascinating. Now you've got me wondering if it'll be playing near me. Thanks for the rec.

Huzzah for those kinds of dreams.... :)
Thanks! Bono kinda turned up unexpectedly. If I'd really had my brain in gear, I would have leaned over toward Larry Mullen Jr ;P
I hope I didn't give away too much of the plot for you. I've read reviews of the film described as overly fluffy - but it was enjoyable nevertheless. And, James McAvoy ;D

Naw- you didn't give too much away. I like art house films as much for the cinematography and the actors stylistic choices as much for the plots, so it's all good. :)

I've never seen James McAvoy in anything but Narnia, and I thought he was adorable and delish in that, so I'm eager to see more of him his work. :P

Well, the film is very much a Jane Austen film - complete with Jane Austen-like plot ;D I liked it though :)
Yes, he was good in Narnia wasn't he? I liked the way he interacted with Lucy - I found him very sympathetic to her. I seem to have seem him in loads of things recently, most notably The Last King of Scotland which was shocking and powerful and terribly moving, and, er, Wimbledon where he was just kooky ;)

I never get any dreams with that sort of excitement. :(

Awwww, sorry to hear about that! I get one week a year where my dreams are crazy-crazy-crazy and for the rest of the year it's all pretty normal.

I've had about three sexy dreams in entire life.

Ack! Mind you, on the positive, that's three more than you might have had...

I never have interesting dreams.

:Sigh:

I like James MacEvoy too, though I've missed rather a lot of films he's been in - The Last King of Scotland, for instance. Hopefully we can catch up on DVD.

Maybe if you put your mind to it you can? I know there are all sorts of theories out there about dreaming and how you might be able to influence what you're seeing in your sleep...
I never watched any of Outrageous Fortune but happened to catch the first episode of Season 2, where he leaves! :) That was good. The Last King of Scotland is a powerful film. But, just a little gruesome in the last 5 minutes...

Of course, my husband wanted to see it because of having grown up in Uganda.

Yes, I did think of you as I was watching it. It must be a difficult decision, though, because he/you have to distance yourselves from the art, I suppose. Not having been through the history myself, all I can do is appreciate the chilling, gripping performance that Forrest Whittaker gave - but I can certainly see the flipside of promoting such a despicable person.

Seconding the comments about there being something in the air. I've got selected highlights of the French rugby union team round my subconcious's way! *blush*
I've only seen James McAvoy in Last King of Scotland, where he was of course stellar.

Allez Les Bleus! Or, maybe? ;) That is indeed curious, but then I too have had these weird swings of, er, blushes :) Actually the French just toured here and did rather poorly, though I must admit Thomas Castaignède always comes across very, very well :)
James McAvoy seems to be popping up in a fair, few things. They're turning Atonement into a film - and he's in that.

Ah, but David Skréla wasn't on the southern hemisphere tour, and he is both the best fly-half in the history of half-flying (cough) (by which I guess I mean he had a half-decent Six Nations) and the prettiest man ever to have had his nose broken that many times.

Kind of have a feeling the World Cup doesn't bode *particularly* well for the northern hemisphere altogether, though... :)

Oh, really? I can kind of see that, but I *really passionately hate* Ian McEwan.

Right-o ::ahem:: We shan't speak of I.McE again ::winks::

Hahaha - I think about 99% of NZ might be screaming Dan Carter at you right at this moment ... and, er, you've seen Dan Carter haven't you? For goodness sake, the man has these MASSIVE billboards advertising singlets (er, the British for that is vest) in central Auckland... ;)

Ah! You have me there.
I'm also embarrassed to say I had to google him. In my defence, I'm not soooo into rugby.

Don't worry. The French always beat the All Blacks in the big matches - they always do ;) Dunno about England though...? They seem to be getting better though - which must be a positive leading into La Coup de Monde.

Hahaha! Yay for enthusiastic dreams! *g* They sound like they were both a lot of fun. Who do you prefer between Jared Padalecki and Milo Ventimiglia? Probably Milo, huh?

I had a dream two nights ago that I was dating both Logan and Dick from VM (The characters, not the actors, it was a high school dream). Odd, because I rarely think of that show on a day to day basis.

Perhaps your dream means that Milo is pleased that you are watching Heroes and Jared is bummed you're missing Supernatural! Heeeeeeee! ;D

I think your years of experience have paid huge dividends here. Yes, yes, yes ;)

Hmmm, interesting! Were the behaving in a Dick and Logan kinda way? Sometimes I think our brain takes things happening in the now and transports them backwards. Or else, maybe your brain was feeling nostalgic for VM :)
Milo is vegetarian and my frickin' age. 'Nuff said ;) (Tho' his choice in appearances in music videos leaves quite a lot to be desired...)

I was on your userinfo page to see if you still had michael cunting muhney up (dude is weird) and found this: red wine/me/cute conversationalist

Hahahaha! That's so cute. I love it. And now! I owe you a response.

Were the behaving in a Dick and Logan kinda way?Yeah. We were all in high school and I had just returned because it was found out that I was missing five classes that I needed to earn my diploma. So, I was going to have to give my diploma back if I didn't re-attend high school. *headdesks ( ... )

Heeee! That covers all my bases :) And, yes, MCM got removed: I was the only one on LJ with it which is a leeeeetle bit embarrassing ;)
So, I was going to have to give my diploma back if I didn't re-attend high school. *headdesks*Anyhoo, some guy was singing The Devil Makes Three at karaoke while Logan, Dick, and I played pool.
Woweeeee! Your brain made the connection in the dream about there being three of you...woweeeee!
Maybe my mind ended the dream because I had chosen one of them and he liked me back and that was the point of the dream? WHO KNOWS? And the answers shall never be revealed!
Who knows indeed? But I really like that explanation.
And now I am embarrassed for having only one VM icon...ack.
Hope all is well with you too, belatedly.
::hugs and smooches back::
