Aaaaaargh! Ask not what your ISP can do for you - ask when it will work and not throw you off the net every five minutes!
So when I thought I was back, I wasn’t in fact.
But never mind, I’ve managed to discover some neat things in my travels.

Thank you so much, anonymouse, for the wonderful box of virtual chocolates which may put a bit of weight onto my virtual hips, but thankfully not to my real ones. A real pleasure indeed! *g*
I see from around and about that it’s
the Summer of Love (well this is good because I’m currently freezing my tits off!) and I think I shall do a post on that subject soon.
In the meantime,

for this music meme:
List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your livejournal along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to.
Dirty Pretty Things ‘You Fucking Love It’
A great punk song - short, sharp and with an English accent. I am prone to bopping around my room, throwing my head around and shouting along with the chorus. Heh. Plus, y’know Carl Barat.
Iron and Wine ‘Such Great Heights’
Ahhh, the complete opposite. Like a whispered caress. I love the fact that you can hear the singer breathing between the notes. It’s terribly intimate and beautiful and bittersweet. And has me singing along after the first line.
Ryan Adams ‘Shallow’
Ryan Adams gives good sex. Yes, this is down and dirty and gets you where it tingles. Heeeeee. A great car tune too - belting out along the highway. Or the traffic jam, as is the case here.
Death Cab for Cutie ‘Transatlanticism’
It’s one of those ethereal tracks that just builds and builds and builds and by the end of it you feel like you’ve been transported somewhere else.
Goldfrapp ‘Number 1’
I like to dance to this one. YES, I am embarrassing that way. It’s all slinky and flirty. Heeeee.
Bright Eyes ‘Mushaboom’
The version I have is a live cover of the Feist song, and I don’t know how he does it but Connor Oberst manages to turn this really upbeat, happy song into something sad and depressing. Genius.
Kristin Hersh ‘A Cleaner Light’
This is my ultimate pick-me-up song, that the better day will be around the corner.
I tag everyone in the entire universe who hasn’t done this yet. That means you
kittyzams!!!
