How Teen Wolf fics were somewhat ruined for me...
I read Teen Wolf (only first and second season fic or stories that are au and ignore Erica and Boyd dying, Jackson leaving and Issac too. And especially I hate the later Teen Wolf fics where the Hales disappeared from the show because I loved the first two seasons of Teen Wolf due in large part to the Hale family I loved angsty, sometimes violent Derek throwing Stiles around and, of course, the sassy, always plotting Peter. Was he totally evil or was he insane when he killed Laura to gain her Alpha powers? Considering what he went through (the tortuous years healing and stuck in his own head) I probably would go on a major revenge spree too if I was treated like that and had lost virtually all my family in a particularly heinous act. Darn it I'd seek reveng and, and if legal means wasn't working, well *cough* you've got to do what you've got to do. Instead the writers wrote Peter as a straight up villain completely wasting the actor that could have carried the redemption story on at least four seasons (will he or won't go to the dark side?) Who who does not love a redemption story even if its bumpy along the way? (see Snape in Harry Potter which still makes me mad at Rowling for killing him off) WAs to the other adults in the beginning of the show Who could not love Stile's Dad or Melissa? I mean seriously? Who doesn't miss the Derek and his epic fail romances? I wonder how it would have gone if he was bi-sexual and picked a male to kanoodle with? Yes they had gay characters but the actor who played Derek was quite simply one of the hottest on the show. The writers needed to balance and put some adult driven plots in their episodes as well as the "monster of the week" or the "epic romance failure" of one of the teenagers or "oh well we'll kill off another character this week because we don't know what direction to go" episode.I feel better now that I vented and I'm off to find good Sterek and Steter recs
