I'm a big Sterek fan from Teen Wolf...
and an Archive of our Own has tons of wonderful stories. Here's what I don't get...human au's. I've also seen it in the Supernatural fandom as well as the Merlin fandom. AU's can certainly that go down a different track from the canon to suit the writer's ideas of how the show should go and can be unique and quite interesting but I'm never a fan of human au's. Why? Just Why? All those shows have wonderful canon that can change to fanon but really it takes all the juice out of fandom when I see slash couples set in a "coffee shop", "university" etc. Maybe it's just me but I give them a big pass. The slash is fanon of course but the reason I love these shows is for the supernatural element and taking that away just seems...wrong. I know, I know don't like don't read etc. etc. but why take the wonder and fun out of a supernatural based show? Eh, just my opinion.
