Is it a full moon?
We've had approximately NO rain for MONTHS, and as soon as August hit, it's done nothing but rain for three weeks straight.
Also, because it is raining and rain = nutters having nothing better to do than to phone the hospital (or check themselves in), work has been absolutely mad. Seriously, who shows up to an emergency room and demands financial assistance with paying their bill from their hospital stay (in which they were not even seen in the ER) four months ago? Then you have the nutters who feel the need to phone the hospital in search of phone numbers. Not numbers for doctors or hospital services, mind you, but the things one would always think to phone the hospital for, such as the pizza delivery service number or the number to the credit union that is in the next county over.
Geargh.
