Connecting my laptop to DH's?
Help!
No sooner do I get a new laptop than DH's dies! (I had to get mine started to go out looking for info on how to fix his!) Basically, Windows will not start. I tried using the repair disk that came with the computer, but nothing really happened. I am hesitant to just reinstall Windows as ALL of our pics are on his computer, and the ones from our US trip, that is the only place we have them. Can I connect my computer to his to try and copy his documents/pictures file to mine? Via USB or ethernet? Will my computer read his hard drive without Windows working?
This computer has never been connected to the internet, the USB memory that he uses to transfer documents to it from work, etc. checks out virus free in my computer, so I'm hesitant to think that it is a virus, although that was my first thought...
